Back to it...
It's been forever since I've posted an update! So much has happened in that amount of time, and our babies have grown leaps and bounds! We've finally settled into a rhythm in taking care of 2 babies, I'm glad to say. It was a tough first couple of months dealing with exhaustion and not having enough energy to keep up with the boys, the housework, and life in general! Happily, I'm back into the swing of things, exercising, and have got a good schedule going at home. Throw in an amazingly helpful husband and each day is getting easier and easier!
Currently, I'm on a mission to lose my last 10 lbs. of baby weight through our vegetarian diet and exercise whenever I get the chance to fit it in. I just want to start my 27th year of life in the best shape I've ever been in. Ace is a main source of motivation for me. He's been getting in shape and losing lbs. for a while now (since I was prego) and is looking fabulous!
We got an extra blessing this Christmas when we found out that Adrian got the job with the police department! They are sponsoring him through the Academy, so he was able to quit his current job and go full time without losing pay or benefits! We are overjoyed, as Ace really really wanted this and are excited to see what the future holds for us with a new and better job on the horizon! He started the academy the second week of January, and is now in his 4th week. He loves it...to say the least! As for me, I'm getting more and more brave venturing out with my two babies. We've gone on shopping trips, jaunts to the park, and out for lunch. I've now got my jogging stroller, so now I just need warm weather and we'll be regulars out on the trail!
Our boys are getting so big! Acey will be 2 February 20, 2 days after my 27th birthday, and Noah will be 4 months Feb. 16. Acey still loves his Thomas trains, even more so now that he has a new train table to drive them on and lots more trains and track that we can even keep up with. He has learned lots more words, especially 2 of the most important words to saving a parent from the brink of frustration: "Help Me". Before learning those words, he would whine and cry endlessly until we figured out what he wanted. We are almost in full blown terrible 2 status with him, which makes going out in public difficult, but I'm hoping we get through this stage quickly! Noah is such a big boy now! He's tripled in size!! He is so active and loves to chat with anyone who'll talk to him! He makes lots of cute baby noises and hates being put down for more than five minutes. We can safely say he loves attention! he's almost sleeping through the night, but for breast fed babies, that really just means he sleeps between the hours of 11 and 4 am. He's got a gorgeous smile and a contagious giggle! What a joy it is being a mommy of 2 boys!!
We've got lots of exciting things underway for our family! Stay tuned! XO
