Today, Ace and I took Acey to his friend's first birthday party at the park. This was a friend he made when I made one of my first "official" mom-friends. There were lots of other babies there around his age so he had fun playing with all of them and making daddy chase him around on the grass. I'm glad Ace went with me because, as I get bigger, I get slower, and Acey only gets faster! I'm amazed at how there are such wide differences between children even in the same age group! Acey was the biggest one there! He looked about the same size as a 2 year old that was there. I had all the moms and other party guests asking me how old he was! He was HUGE compared to a 15 month old there (Acey's about 17 months now). Not to mention, he was the only 1 year old that could walk! So, he did a lot of running around on his own! After the cake and ice cream and playing with his friend's new toys, he was ready for a nap so we high-tailed it out of there before the tantrums started. All in all, it was a great experience, and Acey made a perfect party guest!
