Home Sweet...Apartment??!!

The search for a new place for us has been a difficult one! Our lease is up August 15, but we have to give our 30 day notice July 15! I've been scouring the rental websites- yes, rental websites- for the past couple of weeks and Ace has been checking the newspaper. Although we are longing for a home of our own-especially with our growing family- our situation is looking more and more like we may have to call another apartment "home" for another year.

So what's the hold up? Ace is anxiously awaiting 2 possible job offers- one that could take us all the way back home to California and the other that would keep us here in Denver for at least another year.

So we're just waiting, but in the mean time, our lease isn't going to wait for us- and if we wanted to go month to month, the crooks that we call our property management want to up our rent from $825 (1bdrm + den) to $990! OUTRAGEOUS! Therefore, we need to look for something, because I don't know anyone in their right and sane minds who would pay almost a thousand for a 1 bedroom apartment! (Okay, Mariko and I did while living in San Diego, but that was San Diego!)

The planner that I am, this makes me a bit uneasy. I have moved every year since I left my parents home for college, so I know it takes a lot of time to look and find the right place then add to that, packing and actually moving. I feel we are leaving a lot of things to do last minute. However, I have trust in my husband and trust in God that everything will work out! Although one of the job prospects is in California, for now, we must assume that we'll be staying in Colorado, so...

All of you out there, pray that we find a decent 2 bdrm/2 bath (at least!) for under $900 here in Denver! Back to my search...
